Silver Age Secret Files #1: "Moonshine Encounter"
This five-page pairing of 1960's Steve Ditko characters gave me a chance to draw the oddly loveable Creeper. I would have preferred to draw The Creeper in a cartoonier style more reminiscent of the original Ditko version of the character, but editor Dan Raspler wanted a more "realistic and detailed" look to the artwork. The Creeper was loosely modeled on actor Nicholas Brendon (Xander on Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Hawk & Dove were very loosely modelled on Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. I feel that even if one doesn't get close enough to the source material for it to be recognizable, grounding a character's likeness to a real person helps the character look more consistent and real.
